Newsletter: May/June:

Hello everyone and welcome to my June/July newsletter where you’ll hear all about my latest news, events and much more. I hope you find it an enjoyable read and of course, if you have any questions, just ask! Enjoy!

Swansea Half Marathon:

Sunday 25th June saw me complete my first ever half marathon, the Swansea Half in a time of 2 hours and 40 minutes. It was a challenging event but enjoyable too with the beautiful scenery of the Mumbles coastline. It was made more challenging by the fact my legs were still aching an awful lot from the training course I attended a few days before. I was joined by Boot Camp members Nell & Yvonne and also my partner Jess. I am now signed up to the Swansea 10k run in September.swansea half

Plyometric & Power Training course:

On the Thursday before the half marathon I was in Cardiff attending The Principles of Plyometric & Power Training course run by course provider Clarity by Jigsaw and the highly respected coach, Marc Edwards. For those of you unaware of plyometric training, think of jumping exercises, a very demanding, explosive type of activity. Throughout the course of the day, we covered many key areas for this type of exercise including, warm up and activation, testing client ability as well as learning a wide range of exercises. My next plan is to invest into some 1-1 coaching with Marc later this year, with an aim to qualify in postural analysis and pre/post natal training.

Boot Camp:

Boot Camp has been excellent over the past few weeks, we have welcomed several new members to the group and all have settled in really well. We are also planning our 2017 end of year party which was a great success last year. It’s an exciting time to join us, and with a new and improved payment system, joining a Boot Camp has never been made so simple!
